# UKSpeedTest.co.uk — For AI and LLM crawlers

UKSpeedTest.co.uk is a free UK broadband speed test (brand: Pulse by SearchSwitchSave.com). Each HTML page includes JSON-LD (Schema.org) for WebSite, WebPage, WebApplication, FAQPage, and BreadcrumbList to support answer engines and structured summarization. It helps UK consumers and small businesses check download speed, latency, and jitter in the browser. No account; no server-side storage of results or personal data.

## What the tool does

The tool runs in your browser. It downloads data from a CDN and measures how fast it arrives (download speed in Mbps). It also measures round-trip time (latency) and variation (jitter) to the same CDN. The headline number is the median of several runs. We show a confidence level (High/Medium/Low). We do not store your IP, precise location, or results on our servers.

See /methodology.html for a short, factual description. In brief: multiple runs, median as headline, cache-busted requests, latency/jitter to the CDN (not LAN). Single endpoint (Cloudflare); no upload test in current version.

## Privacy

We do not store IP addresses, precise lat/long, or identifiable data by default. Any location shown is approximate (IP-based) and not stored by us. See /privacy.html for full details.
