Terms of use

These terms apply to your use of UKSpeedTest.co.uk (“the site”) and the Pulse speed test. They are written in plain English. They do not replace regulated advice from your broadband provider or a lawyer where you need it.

Who operates the site

The site is operated in association with SearchSwitchSave.com. Editorial and technical ownership are described on the homepage and in our privacy policy.

What the service is

Pulse measures download speed, latency, and jitter in your browser. It is a free information tool. It does not replace your provider’s own diagnostics or contractual speed commitments.

Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the site, probe it in ways that could harm other users, or attempt to interfere with hosting, measurement endpoints, or security controls. Automated or excessive testing that could burden infrastructure may be blocked.

No guarantee of results

Speed results vary with Wi-Fi, device load, time of day, and network conditions. We provide the methodology on our methodology page so you can interpret numbers fairly. We do not warrant that a result will match your package headline speed or any regulatory minimum.

Third-party services

The test may contact third-party networks to perform measurements or show approximate location. Their terms and privacy practices apply in addition to ours. See cookies and similar technologies for optional analytics.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the site or reliance on test results, including indirect or consequential loss. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot be excluded under UK law.

Changes

We may update these terms or the site. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated terms. The “Reviewed” date below will change when we make material edits.
